Venezuela
Venezuela, officially the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, lies in the northern part of South America, on the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. It covers an area of 916,445 km² and has more than 30 million inhabitants. The capital, Caracas, is also the largest city. Venezuela is characterised by a tropical climate, savannahs and rainforests. The best time to visit is the dry months from December to April. The official language is Spanish and the currency is the bolivar.
