British airline Flybe was founded as result of merger of two other airlines: Intra Airways and Air Express Service. It started operations under the name Jersey European Airways in 1979. In June 2000 the carrier first change name to British European, and on 18th July 2002 to Flybe, becoming also the low-fares airline. On 3rd November 2006 Flybe bought the carrier BA Connect, and a complete takeover took place in March the following year. On 14th January 2008 it signed a franchise deal with the British airline Loganair. On 10th December 2010 Flybe entered the London Stock Exchange. The airline serves only connections to the European countries.
