Here you can check the baggage policies of FlySafair. Remember that the baggage dimensions are determined individually by each air carrier. When traveling with FlySafair, passengers can carry two free carry-on bags. Checked baggage, however, is not included in the ticket fare. If it is possible, choose a soft backpack instead of a rigid suitcase as it will be easier to adapt it to the requirements.

Hand baggage at FlySafair
All the passengers of FlySafair can take up to two hand baggage’s on board for no extra charge, provided that they meet the following requirements. The larger of the two should not be more than 56 x 36 x 25cm and must fit in the upper storage compartment. The second should not exceed 40cm x 15cm x 20cm and must also fit under the seat in front. Each luggage must not weigh more than 7kg.

Attention! Hand luggage weighing in excess of 7 kg per bag or which is too large to fit into the overhead stowage compartments will need to be checked in the hold and a checked bag fee would be applicable.
Checked baggage at FlySafair
Checked-in luggage is not included in the ticket fare and must be purchased separately.
Each passenger can purchase 1 piece of checked baggage up to 20kg for R155 during the online booking process or R250 payable by cash or card at the airport.
The total size of the checked baggage (length + width + height) cannot exceed the maximum size dimensions (90 x 75 x 43cm). Additionally, each checked bag can weigh up to a maximum of 20kg, charges apply for bags weighing more than 20kg.
Additional 20kg bag(s), after the 1st piece, are subject to a R250 charge per piece booked online.

Excess baggage at Flysafair is extra paid. The total extra fee depends on the type of excess baggage (checked bag, hand luggage) and the amount of extra weight carried.
